Managing Occlusion in Orthodontic Case Finishing

This course is designed for those who have taken Dr. Rondeau’s Level I, Level II Orthodontic course and/or Introduction to TM Dysfunction course and is ideal for those doctors doing cosmetic and restorative dentistry including implants, crown and bridge and veneers. Cases will be shown start to finish with the focus on creating the best possible occlusion after TMD, Orthodontic treatment or cosmetic or restorative treatment.
Using the latest T-Scan technology, you will learn how to achieve better case finishing results and gain a greater understanding of occlusion and how it affects your final finished cases. This course is a must for any doctor wanting to achieve lasting TMJ health and fantastic case finishing results.
COURSE CONTENT
- Review of joints, muscles, teeth and airway
- Defining normal occlusion
- Forces, timing and balance, occlusion time, disclusion time, canine guidance, anterior guidance, working and non-working interferences
- How T-Scan prevented $20,000 retreatment of a crown and bridge case
- Introduction to T-Scan technology
- Complex cases
- Review of occlusal concepts
- Review of T-Scan technology
- Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA)
- Each course participant will adjust an occlusion using Essex retainers and T-Scan
- Advantages of T-Scan over articulating paper in order to adjust an occlusion
